The extremely gusty wind created large waves on the loch which made for very exacting racing conditions but the paddlers rose to the challenge and enjoyed the days racing immensely. Dispite the conditions 4 new course records were set in the first of the reggata in the Scottish Sprint League.
Our thanks go to Neil & his team from Kirkcaldy CC for organising this event

Congratulations to the following Scottish paddlers on their promotions gained at this regatta:
Ben Gallacher to Boys A
Jack Brockway to Boys B
Elliot Leashman to Boys B
The first event of the season was held on a sunnny evening with a stiff East brease which made the loch a bit lump in places.
Our thanks go to Nan for time keeping / admin & Iain for the safety boat duties.

The first Lowland marathon of the season was well attended with new faces, both young & old, attending for the first time. The weather was near perfect and it was good to be out racing again.
The first marathon of the Scottish season took place on the River Spey on Sunday the 17 April.
There was a reasonable flow to keep the competors entertained on the descent.
Our thanks go to Michael & his team from Nairn CC for organising this event
No Ice & the near ideal conditions enabled nearly all paddlers to better their times this month and set themselves up well for the coming season. It was good to see new faces taking part for the first time. We look forward to seeing you all back in Linlithgow on the 24th April fo
