To all SCA Members – Canoe Wales requests your help

The Welsh Government has recently published a consultation document on “Taking Forward Wales’ Sustainable Management of Natural Resources” which contains proposals that would dramatically improve canoeing access to inland waterways in Wales. These proposals don’t quite go as far as the Land Reform Act (Scotland) 2003, but do have some similarities to Scotland’s access provisions – including a statutory code of conduct. Canoe Wales and British Canoeing would like to hear the views of as many paddlers as possible from across the UK to help them make the best possible response to the Welsh Government – including views about how things are now working in Scotland.

We should therefore be grateful if you would consider letting Canoe Wales know your views by completing their online survey here by Friday 11 August. Thank you!
