The Clyde, Crossford

Wed 02 November 2016

The SCA have been made aware of an issue with parking at the get out at Crossford (entrance to the housing estate, Graham Road), and some complaints about paddlers getting changed in residents' gardens.

The Access chair has spoken to the council who request that paddlers leave their vehicles in the public car park in the centre of the village after loading/unloading boats. We understand that frequent emergency access is needed particularly at this estate and although the on street parking bays adjacent to the sheltered housing are public (one is a disabled parking bay), parking in the public car park will help to ease congestion at this popular site.

Please see the map showing location of the car parkWhilst it is not only paddlers who park here, we'd like to remind paddlers to park responsibly and be respectful of residents' properties.
