We have some opportunities for SCA coaching members to be nominated to sportscotland CPD programmes. The CPD programmes are delivered by sportscotland free to candidates. Coaches must first be nominated to sportscotland by the SCA.
The Coach Connect programme is workshop based targeting club coaches who are committed to their own development within a club or who are already working within or are keen to progress on to a performance or performance development pathway. Coaches on this programme should normally be qualified to BCU UKCC Level 2 or equivalent OR be working towards this qualification and have a minimum of 2 years experience leading delivery of sessions.
Coaching Talent is workshop based with the addition of coaches taking part required to complete a Training Needs Analysis or personal development plan. From this they will receive focused support from a coach developer. The coach developer will support the coach through their Training Needs Analysis or personal development plan and be their regular point of contact throughout the coach's time on the programme.
Workshops will be arranged for coaches based on their needs. Coaches on this programme will be sub institute and institute level performance coaches, qualified to BCU UKCC level 3 or equivalent.
How do I get nominated to take part?
You must be nominated to sportscotland by the SCA to take part in these programmes. To be considered for nomination, please register your interest by noon on Monday 5th January 2015.
