Coaching Matters 2019 Dates Released

Sat 12 January 2019

We are pleased to confirm the programme of Coaching Matters events for 2019. Coaching Matters are the popular CPD events at venues across Scotland, delivered in partnership with sportscotland National Centre, Glenmore Lodge. Attendance at Coaching Matters counts as Coaching CPD valid for 3 years.

This year we will continue the theme getting to know the paddler and how to aid them on their learning journey. This will include critical areas of information gathering leading to how we then decide to run the session(s). This will ultimately bring us to looking at how we as coaches make decisions about ‘how’ we coach. Throughout the day there will be coaching input and discussions in all craft with implications for the various environments we paddle / coach and lead in.

Specific needs: If there is any way we can tailor the course to meet any learning or physical needs, please contact us as soon as possible.

Equipment

Please bring equipment to be comfortable in during on the water sessions – getting wet is not planned but we are happy to accommodate if candidates want to do some wet sessions. Please bring a boat in your main discipline (the one in which you hold your primary coaching award);   If this causes an issue please advise as early as possible so we can do our best to help.

Booking

To book your place online log in to the SCA Portal, click on the course you want above or phone 0131 317 7314.
