Scottish Canoe Association is inviting applications from existing Providers of safety and leadership awards to fulfil the role of Trainers in Scotland. (British Canoeing, Canoe Wales and Canoe Association of Northern Ireland are also conducting a similar concurrent process).
The role of a Trainer is to provide orientation and final recommendation to aspirant Safety / Leadership Providers, and to Provider moderation to the existing Safety / Leadership Provider workforce. The National Association is responsible for appointing appropriate Trainers as required.
Skilled Trainers are critical to the development of the sport moving forward; they play a key role in the workforce development and future provision of British Canoeing qualifications.
From April 2019, the pathway for aspirant Providers has changed. Please see the full role description and person specification for further details.
Successful applicants will be appointed for a 3 year period and will be commissioned directly by the National Association and by aspirant Providers as required.
