River Tay: Tree Hazard

Wed 13 February 2019

A big tree has fallen on the River Tay between Kenmore and where the River Lyon joins. It is across the main channel river right of the last island before you get to the Lyon. At the current height 1.17m you can pass it on the right hand side of the right channel, (about a 12ft gap) Or go down left of the island, the river flows quickly on the approach with no group size eddies. When the river drops the left channel is not usable neither is the right hand side of the right channel meaning all the flow and the line go in to the tree so will require a portage! The tree that was stuck on the Chinese Bridge is still there and has not moved.
