SCA Safeguarding Management Group - Volunteers Needed

The SCA is inviting applications from suitably experienced individuals to be part of the Safeguarding Management Group, there are up to 3 positions available.
 
The SCA is seeking suitably experienced volunteers to form a new Safeguarding Case Management Group (CMG). The CMG will provide advice and guidance in relation to safeguarding concerns, cases and adverse PVG disclosures. The members are required to make fair, considered and proportionate decisions with regard to the route a safeguarding concern may take.

The appointment of 3 new members will provide additional knowledge, experience and perspective to the group’s discussions and decision making process.

It is anticipated the group members will have expertise from a range of sectors such as youth/ social work, police, legal or education. The ideal candidate should have a passion for the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and adults; understanding and knowledge of the sport or voluntary sector; and be in a position to participate in ad-hoc online/telephone meetings when required and at reasonably short notice. Estimated volunteer commitment of 5-10 hrs/year.
