Congratulations to Gilbert Speirs and Kenny Fraser winning Bronze at the Marathon Masters World Cup in Gyor, Hungary on 10th September.
Gilbert and Kenny were racing in the 60-64 year category and placed 3rd behind Robin Lang (Scot by birth but now living in and racing for Canada) and Hugh Fisher from Canada in Gold with Klapproth and Brabant from Germany in Silver.
This was on the day after they finished 4th (Speirs) and 6th (Fraser) in the K1 event were racing over a course of 18.3km involving 5 laps with 4 portages.
The competition was full of international paddlers and racing was very intense. These results represent a great achievement for two long standing SCA members whose own international experience goes back over 40 years.
