2016 Water Releases

2016 water releases have now been published! The SCA liaises with SEPA and has secured (where possible) alternative times for releases to suit paddlers and events in those areas.

Balmenoch Burn Hydro Proposal

A new hydro scheme is proposed on the Balmenoch Burn that flows into the Earn (from the north) at Comrie. As far as the SCA can ascertain this stream is rarely if ever paddled so will not be raising any objection to the proposed development.

With -4.9C over night the canal is solid for the whole length of the couse.

New Byelaws - Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park

The Scottish Canoe Association objected to the proposal to introduce new byelaws banning camping from parts of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.
