The Royal West Boat Club (RWSABC) are about to commence their program of winter talks.  They will be held at the RWSABC Boat Club at the west end of the Esplanade, Greenock.

WWSR Training Prerequisites

Linlithgow Winter Time Trial #3 - Cancelled

There is 25mm of ice the full width of the canal covering about 99% of the length of the course.  There is little prospect that the wind & rain forecast for tomorrow will be in time to save this event and therefore we have Cancelled this month’s event.  We will try again on Sunday the 11 Feb


SCA Renewables Policy - feedback sought

The Access & Environment Policy Committee is in the process of reviewing the SCA Renewables Policy which has been in place since December 2008.


Andrew Manwell

Paddlers will be saddened to learn of the death, just prior to Christmas, of Andrew Manwell at the age of 86. Andrew will be remembered as a stalwart of the Wild Water Ra


Whiteadder - Abbey Saint Bathans Hazard

There is a line of jagged metal and wood extending into the Whiteadder river (see picture), at Abbey Saint Bathans. This obstruction is at rough ford (GR 763617) about 100 meters down stream from the Council Maintained tarmac Ford.
