British Canoeing Core Coach Training course soon available online

We are excited to share that we will soon be introducing the British Canoeing Core Coach Training  course with an online option.

Over the past month, we have been working alongside colleagues from British Canoeing and Canoe Wales to redesign the course content from a 2 day practical course to an online course delivered through a combination of self directed learning and live online sessions.  The practical course option will continue unchanged and be available through the network of tutors once covid restrictions permit.

'By providing an online option for paddlers to engage in the Coach Award Core Training programme, allows even more flexibility in how a learner designs their own development pathway. Aligned to our educational philosophy, the Core Coach Training online can now be accessed more easily, saves travelling and additional associated costs. The Core Coach Training online can be used as a progressional step towards becoming a coach, used as continual professional development, or as an opportunity to explore and share ideas of coaching concepts online'.

Lee Pooley, BCAB Responsible Officer

"Over the last year we have seen an enormous engagement in online learning from paddlers across Scotland. Making this course available with an online option gives paddlers more flexible options on their journey towards coaching qualifications. It will assist in making the qualifications more accessible."

Andy Murray, SCA Head of Coaching and Development

We will soon be advertising course dates and prices commencing this Spring. In the meantime, please note your interest and we will keep you informed.
