Teams announced ahead of Olympic & Paralympic Qualifiers

Well done to all the Scottish athletes who have been selected to teams ahead of the Olympic & Paralympic qualifiers.

With the final stage of the Olympic and Paralympic Qualification process taking place in just a few weeks, athletes have been announced to race the competitions in Szeged, Hungary following a competitive selection event. Athletes competed at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham, with places at the qualification event in Szeged the main focus, as well as the Paracanoe World Championships which takes place at the same venue.


Tokyo 2020 Olympians Deborah Kerr & Katie Reid are part of a five-boat team heading to the qualifying event for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.


2023 World Champion Hope Gordon (VL3W) will also head to Szeged looking to retain her world title.


A larger team including Scottish Performance Squad athlete Kristina Armstrong, who will race K2 500m with Zoe Clark, will race at the sprint World Cup 2 and European Championships.

Mental Health First Aid Training - 20th May 2024 at Glenmore Lodge AWARD IN FIRST AID FOR MENTAL HEALTH AT SCQF LEVEL 5 (1 day course) We are delighted to be able to offer you the opportunity to complete Mental Health First Aid Training at Glenmore Lodge Monday 20th May 0830 - 1730. This will be run by Noush Duffy and Mo Samson - two experienced paddlesport coaches, Mental Health First Aid trainers and part of the Paddle Scotland Equality Groups. This Paddle Scotland course is being offered at the subsidised rate of £75 (inc. lunch and refreshments for the day). Bookings close 5 May . Sunday evening accommodation at Glenmore Lodge is also available to book via the link below. We are passionate about supporting paddlesport coaches to increase knowledge in this area so you can better support the people you work with. We'd love it if you could attend.
