Access concerns on River Clyde near Crossford and Bridge

Jul 04, 2023

Update 21/08/2023 - all obstacles have now been removed.
River Clyde - near Crossford NS831459 and Bridge at NS829460

2 different hazards have been reported.

At first grid reference there is a rope across the river at water level between river right and the island where there are high cables with a zipline / flying fox across the river, put in place by the Clyde family park.

Second hazard at the derelict footbridge. Elective fence has been set up between the central pillar and the left hand bank, this is currently dry with the low river levels but at normal levels the River does run through this part of the river. There is also a metal gate tied to the central pillar protruding out into the water to the right of the pillar.

All hazards have been placed by the local family park.
